My life has been formed by over 3 decades of working in ER. That environment has been and remains a dynamic teacher. It is a reminder that truly this moment holds everything and is the most valuable thing we have. I have learned not to, as much as possible, miss the moments to take the time to let others know how much I think about them and love them.

I also developed and interest in Japanese esoteric Buddhism.

I love Kyudo and how so much of the heart, mind and spirit can be embodied in the postures and the moment the Ya is released. In that 'release' of the arrow I wonder what I can also 'release' (let go of) that I hold onto that doesn't serve me.

Ultimately life for me is one of service. It is learning to take care of ourselves and others. We see this time and time again when strangers come to aid and help another person in need.  Seeing our own humanity in others. Reaching out with heart and hands. Someday, sooner or later, we will all need the heart and hands of someone's support, caring and love through life's joys, sorrows, sickness and loss. Live and bring your essence into our world.
